Colonies: Areas under the control of a specific country. For example, a Spanish colony was under the control of the Spanish government.
Colonists: People who lived in the new settlements or colonies in the New World.
Savvy: Knowledgeable.
Settlement: A new community that is established in a place where people had not lived before.
Simulation: Something that tests a situation or a process.
